Summer Camping Program: 2020
Week 1:  Time Traveler Week         JULY 5-10
Come join us for a week of camp activities new and old. As a time traveler you will experience activities from the age of the Pirates to the 70's and beyond. You may find yourself tie-dying, enjoying campfires, making smores, singing, laughing and talking like a pirate. Play a musical instrument? Bring it along! Just remember, your instrument is your responsibility. Learn leather crafting, boondoggling, bead and jewelry making. Hiking, swimming, canoeing, archery, Gaga Pit, corn hole, ping pong, and four square all and much more add to the fun. Fun for all ages!
Week 2: Star Academy Week         JULY 12- 17
Be prepared "To Boldly Go Where No Man Has Gone Before..." this week! Chocked full of activities focusing on astronomy, campers will learn about the night sky with our local expert. A visit to the local planetarium, sleeping under the stars, star gazing with telescopes, and other star-studded events will make this a memorable week. Who knows, maybe a little Star Trek or Star Wars adventure may be awaiting you! Out of this world fun!
Week 3: Olympic Week         JULY 19-24
The challenge is on! Come join us for individual and team competitions! Color teams will be formed for day competitions and challenges, both land and water. Culmination will be a big field day!  Each team will develop multiple challenge for the competitions. Craft activities with Olympic theme offered. Have an idea for challenges? Email us your ideas!
Week 4: Adventure Challenge Week         July 26-31
This week is for overnight campers only. Grades 3 to Age 16 are welcome and will experience many Adventure Activities. Younger campers will learn survival skills, explore and enjoy aquatic challenges. Campers Grade 7 and up may experience whitewater rafting, offsite camping and much more! Climb the waterfalls, cook outdoors, be part of team building challenges. Bring your “A” Game!
**Additional fees will be charged for excursions.
Week 5:   Super Heroes Week     Aug 2-7    
Who’s your favorite super hero?? As we honor Caspar Gregory as the camp superhero, prepare yourself for super hero adventures! Get your cape and mask out of the closet! What, no cape or mask? You can create them at camp! Use your super powers for a successful scavenger hunt with prizes. Create a skit about a superhero, sing superhero songs or create your own super hero cartoon. “To Infinity and Beyond” 
This will be a fun week for all!

Age-appropriate activities are always planned with camp counselors trained to make all campers feel comfortable in any activity they choose. A Thursday overnight is offered to day campers. Camp Caspar Gregory is a great place for your child to spend each day, among friends in the Heart of the Finger Lakes!

OVERNIGHT CAMP: 3rd Grade to Age 16
Sunday Drop Off: 2:30-3:30 at the Pavilion. Friday pick up by 5.
DAY CAMP: Sunday registration 2:30 to 3:30 at the Pavilion   
 ** Camp tours will be available for families!
   Monday drop off by 8:30am, pickup 5:30, Both at Pavilion.
Flexible drop-off & pick-up arrangements, if needed, can be made with our staff.

Social Services has grant money for children to attend, who have qualified for free school lunches (TANF Scholarship forms are available at school or social services).

 three enrolled children or one child for 3 weeks,
 if paid by June 4. Spots cannot be reserved otherwise.

Camp Caspar Gregory was re-certified in 2017
as a continuing member of the
American Camp Association (ACA).
This association keeps us updated on new programming and safety features.
It insures we have a progressive and safety-conscious camp for our campers.
We believe this year’s camping program will be our best yet,
full of new activities, adventures and equipment!


Meet Our Camp Directors for 2020!

Anthony Brown

Anthony served 7 years in the United States Marine Corps, 3 years in the US Army and 10 years as a private contractor. He is an Eagle Scout with over 18 years experience at Scout camps, including Aquatics Director, High Ropes Course Director, 3 years program Director and 4 years as a Camp Director.

Anthony is looking forward to working as a Director/Waterfront Director this 2020 camp season. He looks forward to a fun and safe summer and making great memories with the campers and staff at Camp Caspar Gregory an ACA Accredited Camp.

David Austin
David  grew up going to and working at camps in New York State.  He also aided in the running of camps in Ohio, Hawaii and Fiji. He has been in the camping industry for over 20 years and he has had leadership roles in camps for over 15 years ranging from Program Director, Waterfront Director, Maintenance/Retreat Supervisor and Camp Director. He has a Camp Director Certification from the American Camping Association and a Bachelors in Outdoor Recreation from Houghton College.

David looks forward to working as a Director of Camp Caspar Gregory and is excited to work with campers/staff in a safe, enriching and fun filled environment.
